New Scientific Editor Joining aqua and Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues and Friends, dear Members of the Editorial Board,

Flavio Lima, who served as the Scientific Editor of aqua – International Journal of Ichthyology since January 2014, decided to retire from this post by the end of the year in order to devote more time to research. Over a period of five years, Flavio did a great job and it is my duty and pleasure to thank him most cordially for his outstanding contribution to our journal’s continued success.

I am pleased to welcome Friedhelm Krupp, who is a Member of our Editorial Board and served as Scientific Editor from 2006 – 2009, back to the job. From now onwards, all new manuscripts should be sent to Friedhelm.

I also avail myself of this opportunity to thank all Editorial Board members for their continued support. We are planning to publish the next issue of aqua in January 2020, but currently do not yet have enough submissions. If you have a paper that is ready to be submitted or know of someone else who does, kindly consider publishing in aqua.

We will do our best to push new submissions through the peer-review process in order to publish them by January 2020, of course without compromising on quality.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

With my very best wishes,

Heiko Bleher – Managin Editor
